Iranian university students stage protest in front of British Embassy in Tehran

Payvand:

Tehran, Aug 14, IRNA-A number of university students staged protest in front of British Embassy in Tehran on Sunday condemning British stance about Iranian nuclear program.

They issued a statement to condemn political pressure being exerted by nuclear powers against Iran's civilian nuclear program.

The statement underlined the legitimate rights of all Iranians to benefit from peaceful application of nuclear energy.

The protestors called the IAEA resolution on Iran's nuclear activities as 'shameful' and said that the IAEA has lost its legal identity and has become a means to put pressure on the member states.

The statement has labelled the European troika as "slaves and lackeys of imperialism".

Ending the protest, the students called for Iran's withdrawal from Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and to continue with civilian nuclear program.
