Students beaten up by Bassij elements in NE Iran

Oct 10, 2005 Several students were injured, on Sunday evening, by brutal Bassij Force's elements who attacked them with knives and clubs. The incident took place at a university's dorms located in the northeastern City of Neyshaboor.

The repressive Bassijis intended to make respect the Islamic morality and the mandatory Ramadan fast.

The injured students were transferred to nursery but no Bassiji elements was arrested or questioned by the local Police force.

The situation is tense and many students have threatened to strike if justice is not made.
