Tens have been arrested and hundreds more investigated in Iranian cities in the frame of a new systematic crackdown. The new joint operation which is carried by the regime's regular Law Enforcement Force, Bassij paramilitary and various Intelligence circles is labeled as "Zafar" (Victory).
Many of the arrested are known for opposition to the Islamic regime and are qualified as "trouble makers". The theocratic leadership is seeking to pacify its back base by increasing the fear and dismantling any network.
In that line, the Iranian women and youth are also victims of such policy. Reports from several provincial cities and the Capital are stating about an increase of brutality against them.
More backwarded and discriminatory laws are also part of the regime's project, such as, lashing in public women who are not fully complying with the mandatory "Islamic veil" or even "using heavy cosmetics while wearing veil".
