Ahmadinejad sworn in as Iran's president

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Former Tehran mayor Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, a religious conservative who won a landslide election victory in June, was sworn in on Saturday as president of Iran.

Ahmadinejad became president on Wednesay after approval by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and replaced reformist cleric Mohammad Khatami.
